Hot air ballooning isn’t something you rush into, and that’s part of what makes it different.
Before Takeoff
There’s a bit of anticipation before anything even leaves the ground.
The balloon is laid out, inflated, and checked while the sun starts to come up.
It’s part of the experience, not just a wait.
Once everything is ready, you’ll climb into the basket and get settled.
The Flight
Takeoff is gentle. No sudden movement — you just start to drift.
Flights typically last 45 to 90 minutes, depending on conditions. You’ll move with the wind, not against it, so every flight is slightly different.
From up there, you’re not looking down from a distance, you’re floating close enough to actually take in the landscape. Fields, hills, tree lines, it all feels quieter than you’d expect.

After landing, you’ll finish with a complimentary champagne toast, a simple tradition to mark the flight.
Landing
Where you land depends on the wind.
That’s part of what makes ballooning different. There’s no fixed runway. The pilot will guide the balloon down into a safe open area, usually a field.
After the Flight
The experience doesn’t end right away.
There’s time to take it in, talk about the flight, and watch the balloon being packed up. Most people hang around for a bit. It’s not rushed.
From start to finish, plan for about 2 to 3 hours total, including setup, flight time, and return.
A Note About Weather
Flights are completely dependent on weather conditions.
If it’s not safe to fly, the flight will be rescheduled. It’s not ideal, but it’s part of doing this properly.
